i love this book- borrowed it from the library and HAD to have it. Great range of comprehensive, attainable recipes with a small side serving of anecdotes and stories from the Author. This is the only preserving book i own and its the only one you will need. Small size means it doesnt take up heaps of bench space. Highly recommended for the hobbyist right up to the serious preserver.
This book is fantastic, it has everything you would ever need to know about preserving. The receipes are wonderful and full of flavour. All the serious stuff is covered with pectin levels and preserving food safety, it also has lovely stories of preserving and family time spent with this wonderful hobby. With the help of this book I have made the best tasting Jam that my family has ever eaten. The easy reference troubleshooting guide is perfect it helps to solve any problems which you may run into. I recommend this book to everyone!
I looked at this book several times wondering if it would be worth buying, then it was recommended to me, so I bought it. It is a great book - easilly set out by base ingredient with plenty of choices for all tastes. Drinks, jams, chutnies, relishes and preserves of all sorts, this book really has got something for everyone. It may only be a small book but it is packed full of all sorts of goodies and the correct procedures of how to make them. Easy to read and follow, no nonsense. Highly recommended!
