I think this is one of the most brilliant books I have ever read, I especially like the idea of a sanity allowance in any budget. If you are thinking of buying a money book for your kids or yourself then this is the book, it is easy to read, funny and no nonsense.
I found this book to be very useful to my particular situation and it provided me with some good ideas for getting my finances on track. I think it is a good starting point for people wanting to take control of their finances. It has simple advice which would be relevant to most readers.
This is a really good book for anyone looking to get their finances in order, especially for those who've never really thought about these kinds of things before. It explains basic financial concepts (including investing in the share market) clearly and concisely, provides lots of simple tips to help make things better, and avoids the financial jargon that can make you feel like a bit of an idiot if you have trouble following it. I'd recommend it!
This is a must for anyone in a financial pickle, and for those who are starting their financial lives. As a student, this has helped me heaps in establishing my financial skills as well as planning for any budget blow outs in the future. Some of the scenarios and advice weren't practical in my situation, yet I believe this is a must for anyone looking to change the way they look at money.
This book was a good way for us to refocus and start again. Although it is aimed at school leavers it includes great tips on budgeting and habits to help you get on track and stay on track.
This is more aimed towards someone leaving school, and getting started with money. It does have a very handy section at the back, which helps you with buying shares and what to look for, this is a great guide and explaines the share market in an easy to undersatand way, not like some of the share market books on the market. The book is priced well, within most budgets and well worth the read.
I read this book only a few months ago, however, it did not really apply to me. I think it is a good general overview for kids just finishing school, it gives them a basic insight into all of the money things that they will come up against, it is also good for those who have just paid off a debt, and are 'starting over',.
