In the all-new Aliens vs. Predator players will have the chance to take the role of the three infamous species; the Colonial Marine, the Predator and the Alien. Each of the three species has its very own distinct story-driven single-player campaign mode that interweaves with the campaigns of the other two species. Aliens vs. Predator will also feature unique 3-way online multiplayer, allowing gamers to pit the three species against each other in the ultimate battle for survival and for the right to be crowned the deadliest species.
On planet BG-386 a colonist mining group discovers an ancient pyramid containing a dark and horrible secret. Across the stars a race of warriors is alerted to the discovery of their pyramid and a hunting party is dispatched to ensure that it remains sealed at all costs, whilst deep inside the ruined pyramid a malevolent intelligence awakes from centuries of dormancy.
The Marines story is an incredible fight against the odds, and the horrors lurking in the dark. Beset on all sides yet armed to the teeth, the Colonial Marine represents humanitys last stand with the firepower to fight back.
As the Alien, players will discover what its like to be the most murderous and lethal creature in the universe, with the ability to traverse any surface with awesome agility in order to get close enough to unleash its deadly teeth and claws.
A master of the hunt, the Predator grants the player a suite of exotic weaponry and equipment with which to stalk its unknowing prey. Earn the greatest honour by ambushing prey up-close and butchering them for a gory trophy kill.

If the recent films on the Aliens vs. Predator franchise haven’t been painful enough to sit through, then perhaps video gamers worldwide are ready to stomach Sega and Rebellion’s pitiful offering. Delivering poor results and half-baked ideas, it’s my regret to call Aliens vs. Predator to call it the year’s most disappointing title thus far.
Allowing players to control any one of the three avatar types – alien, predator, or human – Aliens vs. Predator on paper is an overwhelmingly exciting title. It has three distinct play styles that all differ from one another:
The human comes equipped with a flashlight, a pulse rifle, shotgun, scoped/sniper rifle, flame thrower, motion tracker, flares and a few other gadgets. Having to work in groups to overcome the strengths the predators and aliens have over the bipedal skinwalkers. Of three available, the humans are the most monotonous of the bunch due to it’s a “been there, done that” setting.
Being a big fan of the original Predator, Alien & Aliens movies (Predator 2, Alien 3, Alien:R & AVP franchises to a lesser extent) I've been looking forward to Aliens Vs predator since it was announced.
Single player
The marine campaign is the strongest of the 3. There are alot of hectic and scary moments, no thanks to the motion tracker. The Predator and Alien campaigns are a bit short, but they should be this way as to not overstay their welcome or become repetitive. Survivor is
Multiplayer
Definately a fresh change from the other FPS shooters: Deathmatch, Species Deathmatch, Infestation & Predator Hunt. The only thing holding it back is the matchmaking in ranked matches. If they implemented a "browse games" feature like they did in friendly matches, it would be alot more successful.
Graphics
Good, not great. For best results get the PC version, it blows everything else out of the water.
Sound
Predator growling, Alien hissing, the motion tracker, the Pulse Rifle, it's all here. The only thing I'm disappointed with is the absence of the sound from Predators plasma cannon from the first film.
A good, not great game. A must for Alien/Predator fans though.
This is definitely one of the editions worth buying, an exhilarating demo is out and it's great. If you love freaky kind things you'll love it. The spookyness of the game is definitely worth the while and money buying it.
