In the game you're charged with catapulting a number of birds across the screen with the aim of taking out the green pigs littering the landscape. Simple, right? Well, it's not QUITE so simple as that. For one, various structures made out of materials such as wood, stone and ice litter the environment, so you might have to take those out to get at the green guys.
Making things a bit easier, however, is the range of birds on offer. They might split into three mid-flight, accelerate when you touch the screen or even explode on contact! They're each particularly effective against different materials, so clearing the screen becomes a question of pointing the right bird at the right target and getting the aim spot on.
The game has racked up a staggering 500 million downloads over its various platforms, surely proving that a great core gameplay mechanic is all you need to really compel people to play. If you haven't tried Angry Birds already, now's your chance!

Angry birds is a very fun pc game, but for $20? Really? This game is available on the mac app store for less than $5 i think. Otherwise it is a very fun game and will keep everyone entertained for quite a substantial time. The sound of the birds yelling can be a bit annoying so turn the sound down. Apart from that it is a very enjoyable game. i only just finished it last week after playing on and off for about 6 months.
