The Nintendo 3DS gets an arcade shooter in the form of Dream Trigger 3D. Because it is designed for Nintendo’s 3D handheld the game is built from the ground up in a fully 3D set of environments.
Fast combat action is played out in over 50 levels with over 100 challenges to beat and 10 environments to explore in one or two player modes. Dream Trigger 3D uses an innovative combination of lighting and a dynamic multi-track musical score to take the player or players through all the stages.
Players can use sonar bombs to both detect and then destroy enemies in offensive mode or to dodge attacks from the foes in order to progress. With three modes: World Play Mode, Free Play Mode and Time Attack Mode gamers can play out the game again and again.

Pros: Engaging - you are focused on shooting things and identifying enemies the whole time and it gets quite hectic.
Cons: Gameplay can get repetitive. However, the more I play the more addicted I become.
In the first 5 minutes of play I died within 60 seconds of starting a stage. But then I realized that when you hold down the fire button, you're immune to bullets. This fact, together with the strategy of just swiping your right thumb across the touch screen in an almost random manner (to identify enemies) made the game feel similar to a button mashing fighting game - so far it has involved very little skill.
You are mainly doing two things you do when you play this game: aiming your thumb on the bottom screen, and aiming/moving your ship/crosshair on the top screen; The bullets SO FAR are pretty harmless.
