This game is deep and addictive and represents an excellent use of the technology. An immersive world has been created by Rockstar that allows the player to interact with their surrondings in an amazing way, from attending schools to playing pool. Everything is polished and nothing dumps the player out of the immersion. Much has been made of the fact the player could choose to have s3x with a hooker and then kill her: but the key aspect here is choice. At no point does the game force you to do this. Players play their own way, and you can choose to play the game in a moralisitic fashion (actually, the game is easier to play if played with integrity as the law doesn't come down upon you so often, so it could be argued the game rewards the player for not randomly killing folk) but this is true only to a point as many of the missions involve murder... of sprites!!! Sheesh, fantasy is fantasy and these games are for the 99% of the population who can distinguish between fantasy and reality. The other one percent should stick to Mah-Jongg.
I really like this game, its even better when your bored and have nothing better to do, there is so many things im still on the first island and i have found so many things to do. I still feel that it isnt good for children or younger people, its still a good game i give it an 8/10!
although i prefer the previous two grand theft auto releases, this game is still pretty good. it lets you have more control over the gfame and your character. you can build muscle, gain weight, buy/change clothes, etc which is fun for the first few plays or so but i found that it began to be abit of a hassle. the game itself is pretty good though.
This is definitely one of the greatest games ever released on the PS2 console. This game is so big, it takes over 50 hours of gameplay time to finish 100% of the game. The storyline is fantastic, Penn (R.I.P.), Young Maylay and Samual L. Jackson played great rolls in the game. Well done Rockstar.
