Pretty good for a cheap title. The racing is good fun, it is a game that takes a little while to master but is rewarding when you do. There is nothing to it except riding either a select stage of the tour or the whole event. There are no additional modes and no multiplayer. You do not ride the whole of a stage, you have control over the crucial parts and the computer sims the rest. So for example you will always ride the start, end and intermediate sprints and also some of the hill climbs. Usually 3-5 sections per stage. The music gets very repetitive and the only commentary is a brief introduction to the stage.
For the next iteration, something more along the lines of F1 2010 would be nice, where you see improvement in your rider/equipment, work your way up from the bottom, get to negotiate for teams and have a bit of behind the scenes gameplay. Right now it is just one stage after the other.
If you are into the tour you should get this game, there is nothing badly wrong with it, it just doesn't have a lot of depth.
