In 1292, after spending nearly 20 years in the court of emperor Kublai Khan, Marco Polo departed China with 14 ships filled with over 600 passengers and crew. Eighteen months later, when Marco Polo arrived at his destination, only one ship remained and only 18 passengers survived. Although Marco Polo described every aspect of his adventures in detail, he never revealed what happened to these lost ships, passengers or treasure on board even on his deathbed.
Drawn in by the potential riches to be found but most inspired by the intrigue of the historical mystery Drake embarks on a quest to find the lost fleet. He soon realizes that Marco Polo was hiding a much bigger secret he had gone on a secret expedition on behalf of the emperor to find the mythical kingdom of Shambhala (otherwise known as Shangri-La) and to recover the legendary Cintamani Stone, the wish-fulfilling jewel of Buddhist mythology. The Stone is described by Marco Polo as a massive raw sapphire if it truly exists, it would be worth billions of dollars today.
This discovery sets Drake on a new course following Marco Polos 700-year-old trail through a diverse range of exotic environments to find out if the lost city of Shambhala, rumoured to lie deep in the Himalayas, really exists. This quest also pits him against a new, more formidable adversary who is after the same artefact a ruthless, rogue paramilitary leader with a private army and a relentless ambition to recover the stone for himself.

This is easily one of the best games i have ever played and ive been gaming for 20 years. It has a bit of everything in it from action adventure to exploring and puzzle solving. Its paced perfectly and you never know what the designers will throw at you around the next corner. It also has amazing sound and a great score to boot that really fits the games mood. The stand out though is the sheer graphical detail that has been captured here. The locations are lavishly and aunthentically designed with amazing attention to detail. I cant rate this highly enough its very close to the perfect game.

rying to remain as spoiler-free as possible, I'll just say that the story starts off about a year or so after the events of the first game and begins with Nate and a few fellow thieves working on finding Marco Polo's lost treasure fleet. Of course, things aren't quite that simple and the cast winds up going on a much grander adventure, one that takes them half-way around the world.
That's about as far as I want to go with the storyline, though some of the trailers out there actually reveal a little more than that. The important part here though is that this game doesn't just take place on a single island and instead changes locales a handful of times over the course of the adventure. The result is that the pacing feels better and faster, and even though you're technically doing the same sort of shooting, climbing and puzzle solving throughout the game, the different ways the scenes are presented gives Among Thieves a greater sense of gameplay variety than the original.
The great storytelling extends to the character development, which has been turned up a good notch or two. Almost everyone with more than two lines of dialogue has an interesting reason for doing what they're doing (though the main bad guy is just bad), and the way that everyone interacts with one another is realistic and interesting. Almost every character is unpredictable in some way, but not in a forced or unnatural manner.
The story itself twists and turns throughout the course of the game, as you might expect, and for the most part it's a solid tale. Nate and his pals go through a lot, so it does a good job of reeling you in and keeping you hooked until the end.
While I'd say the story is quite good overall, I wouldn't say that it's perfect. Without giving anything away, while most of the story has solid footing in real-world lore and legend, it does start to veer away from this at some point in a way that could have been handled better. Still, it's told very, very well through the use of fantastic cutscenes and acting, and will keep you guessing at what'll happen until the very end. so all up it pritty good

From the start you can see this is going to be good, the graphics are mind blowing, easily the best looking title on PS3. The gameplay is great with many new and improved features over the first.
The environments and cinematic events look great, and there are way more cutscenes this time, the game has over 25 chapters so it is also longer than the first one, story is really good.
To summarize, if you don't own a PS3 and even slightly interested in this game, get this now! i also highly recommend the first game as well, while it is not vital to have played the first one, you won't get the same experience. If you have the first one and liked it, then go get this Now!
