Just like a wii nunchuck...only black! It's not really any different in how it works but it does create a cool look, and doesn't get dirty as white ones sometimes do. You can use it with black or white remotes. The nunchuck is used in some games where the remote isn't enough and you need a control stick to move around, or in sports games where you need two hands (e.g. boxing, kung fu on Wii Fit Plus)
