Fifteen year-old Neku is an ardent follower of the lonesome pursuit of the graffiti artist, but is much less enthusiastic about forging friendships with people. When he comes to an intersection awash with people, alone and unaware of how he got there, he is plunged into the Reaper's game and has to face his worst fear - other people. He receives a message: clear the missions ahead, or face erasure. And with that, Neku is thrust into a life or death game that sends him scrambling down crowded streets, paved with one riddle after another.
The creators of the Kingdom Hearts series splendid The World Ends With You follows Neku as he gets the chilling telephone message and spends the next seven days in Japan's trendiest district - Shibuya - trying to avoid being wiped from history. It's a labyrinth of light and sound, and in order to survive, you'll have to be fully aware of the latest music and fashion. Gameplay is a delight with the dual screen battle system offering super-fluid control and powerful combos.

The world ends with you is one of my top most favorite DS games ever. I dived into the game without knowing anything about it and soon after, loved every second of it. It's a vastly superior and unique DS game with amazing graphics, battle system, story, music and overall gameplay. The modern and urban trash atmosphere of the game makes it realistic and comparable to the real world of Shibuya and also emphasises on the theme of the dark and harsh reality that circulates within the game. Most characters, namely Joshua, Hanekoma and Shiki are quite lovable and the in-depth explanation of terms and happenings within the game also indicate the detail and effort the creator placed into perfecting the game.
