They depended on each other, and the world depended on them. Based on Stephen E. Ambrose's non-fiction best seller, Band Of Brothers tells the story of Easy Company, 506th Regiment of the 101st Airborne Division, U.S. Army. Starting with their rigorous training in Georgia in 1942, it recounts the achievements of the elite Rifle Company from D-Day to the fall of Nazi Germany and the surrender. Drawn from hours of interviews with survivors, as well as soldiers' journals and letters, Band Of Brothers chronicles a unit that took 150% casualties and whose lives became legend.

This would have to be one of the best, if not the best, War TV series ever produced. Excellent casting & direction lends itself to a wonderful recount of Easy Company's role in the D-Day invasion. If you have enjoyed watching this series, I would also recommend you read the Band of Brothers novel by Stephen E Ambrose.
An awesome show by Tom Hanks and Steven Spielberg.
Each episode unfolds like a novel and they do an excellent job on character development.
Even if there were several various directors and writers, each bring their own perspectives to the story, the series never feels disjointed.
Coming in a metal storage box made it an EXCELLENT gift.
