Long, long ago, in a time of magic and dragons, there lived a girl named Rapunzel who had the most beautiful, radiant hair the world had ever seen. But Rapunzel's life was far from wonderful. She lived as a servant of Gothel, a jealous, scheming witch who kept her hidden deep in a forbidding forest, guarded by the enormous dragon Hugo and surrounded by an enchanted glass wall.
However, in a twist of fate, Rapunzel's discovery of a magic paintbrush leads her on a journey that will unravel a web of deception, bring peace to two feuding kingdoms, and ultimately lead her to love with the handsome Prince Stefan. She succeeds with the help of Penelope, the least intimidating of dragons!
Stunningly produced in computer animation, the movie stars Academy Award-Winner Anjelica Huston as Gothel and Cree Summer as Penelope. The movie features a song performed by Samantha Mumba and music by the London Symphony Orchestra.

Believe it or not, the Barbie movies are not as much of a bore as you would think. These are movies that you can watch with your children - they might love it, but it isn't entirely hard for you as a mum or dad to watch either. They are cheaply made CGI graphics (don't expect the kind of detail you get in shrek - they look plastic), but the story and voice-acting carries it. Fairly well done.
this is not one of the better Barbie movies. but the rabbit and Dragon are what make this movie good. It shows how far people will go for their good and true friends.
I believe this is a good movie for all young girls.
This isn't our favorite Barbie movie but it's still a good one. Before I had kids I vowed not to let them have anything to do with Barbie, and I never thought I'd say this, but the Barbie movies are actually some of the best. No bad language, the 'bad' characters are obviously not the ones to emulate and Barbie is pleasant, kind, nice... I recommend them all.
Barbie is an artist who paints her way out of a castle to save her prince. This brilliant adaptation of a classic fairy tale is a must have for the whole family. Now starring the worlds most famous doll turned actress, Barbie (lol). A++
I thought Barbie: Rapunzel was a beautiful movie. I'm an adult and I love to watch all of Barbie movies. Most young girls would like to watch Barbie: Rapunzel. I think a little dragon and a rabbit from Rapunzel are so cute. I was not happy with the DVD because it had no subtitle.
