Other than knowing what was taught in school many many years ago I knew very little about Greek mythology, but I thought I would give this a go. I was very pleasantly surprised. I actually found it incredibly interesting and despite there being 3 discs with 4 stories on each, I just about watched the whole thing non-stop. We've all heard of Hercules and Medusa etc so it was fascinating to hear and watch the whole story about them. If ancient mythology is your thing you will love this, if it's not I think you will still enjoy it. I most certainly enjoyed it and I have no hesitation in recommending it. Go on, give it a go, and just like me you might be pleasantly surprised.
I've watched this DVD a couple of times and found it very helpful in my present study of Ancient Greek myth and legend. I found the "stories" very true to the actual myths - very entertaining too for anyone interested in history without necessarily having any prior knowledge of the subject. Girls: worth watching the 2 segments on Odysseus - now he really IS a God!
