George Chakiris is a resistance fighter whose fate numbers among the many ironies in the expertly written screenplay (by James Clavell and Howard Koch). To make the film, which was based on a true story, a squadron of legendary Mosquito fighter-bombers was resurrected from near extinction. Dazzling flying sequences, bone-shaking sound and superb special effects help to make this one of the most realistic air combat films ever to reach the screen.

Classic! One of my favourite movies of all time! 5 STARS – No DVD collection is complete without this title amongst it. Powerful performances, superb production value with strong clear direction… a masterpiece. A must see for all movie fans, some might not agree with me but this film with live on for many years after the actors have all but been forgotten!! - west
talk about movies that need a remake, no its not The Amityville horror or Assault on Precinct 13 or even batman, its the 633 Squadron. This is a great little fun movie that i have always thoroughly enjoyed and would love to see it played by someone like george clooney and matt damon, think oceans 13!!!!
