Our two eldest grandchildren (aged 6 and 4) just loved this movie, as did their grandparents. It was too long for our three year old, but our bouncy teo year old loved bits of it, esp. where the bear is mearly knocked out by a fishing float (?) whilst trying to catch Milo. All four recognised many of the snippets of classical music that formed the soundtrack of this delightful movie. Highly recommended.

I read once where it took the filmmakers four years to make this movie. I don't doubt it. It must have taken great patience to wait and train these animals to do some of these amazing scenes. Where have you ever seen a cat nursing on a pig or a dog hitching a ride on top of a sea turtle, etc.?

There are some incredible scenes involving a number of animals. The scenery here is pretty, too. All of the above means that adults should enjoy this as much as the kids. There is nothing offensive in this nothing....nothing.

Dudley Moore's storytelling narration is a bit annoying in the beginning but settles down and is just fine, even humorous in spots. Overall, he did a credible job. The movie is short but actually could have been better had it been trimmed another 10 minutes to about 80. If you love animals, you really have to check this film out. Even if don't, the footage is so unique it's worth a look.

This is one of those classic movies which I certainly liked as a small child. Nice once or twice for animal-loving adults also. The story is relatively straightforward but not boring and the animals are adorable. I'm not sure if the urban myths about animal cruelty in making the movie are true or a fabrication. Definitely a good movie for cat or dog loving children.

I believe that this movie come out about the year i was born. All i can say is even at 21 i still love this movie has its sad moments but worth the watch i love milo and otts when they have their family so georgous little kittens and puppies. Excellent movie for the family if you havent seen it highly recomment that u grab it and watch it you will become hooked as soon as it starts thats if you are a animal lover.

I cannot rave enough about this movie! I loved it as a child and I continue to love it now. The movie doesnt try to make the animals seem like they are speaking and I find this refreshing. To see real life animals in their natural enviroment is A very rare occurance these days, this is a movie that could never be reproduced and for that reason alone I believe that everyone should watch it.

The only thing I can fault with this movie is the narration by dull and dreary Dudley Moore.
Milo & Otis the great adventure of enduring friendship between a curious cat and a pug nosed pup. Before the world of animal movies was over run with CGI there were masterpieces like this.
A sweet family favourite for the whole family. A must for your collection.

I'm going to be honest here. I haven't actually seen this movie in over 10 years. As a child this gorgeous story just upset me too much! (for the life of me I can't remember why! now I look back and just see a lovely tale of a cat and a dog on an adventure!) but the obstacles they have to overcome clearly for a child and an animal lover were very upsetting! otherwise (from what I remember!) a wonderful film!

Classic! One of my favourite movies of all time! 5 STARS – No DVD collection is complete without this title amongst it. Powerful performances, superb production value with strong clear direction… a masterpiece. A must see for all movie fans, some might not agree with me but this film with live on for many years after the actors have all but been forgotten!!!!!

man this movie really makes me tear up, and i dont even like animals! tells the story of milo and otis, who make a terrible journey across america. along the way there are numerous obstacles, such as animals and water. the filmers did a great job with this, it cant have been easy working with a dog and a cat. good for the whole family!

This is a great film, I loved it when I was a child and recently bought it and love it even more! It is funny and very very cute! Dudley Moore does a fantastic job of narrating the voices of all the animals and the whole film is touched with such charm. The film was brilliantly produced over 4 years and would be lovely for children especially (Although I'm 20 and still love it :).
