Theres not much that you can say about this movie accept that it carved its own niche in sci-fi history through an amazingly imaginative plot, intriguing characters, and revolutionary special effects.

The movie itself really is a roller-coaster ride for the senses as you track Neo through his personal liberation. I have now bought all three movies and they will be kept in my library for a long long time.

One of the best movies I have ever watched, the trilogy included. Hands down. If you like the genre then you will love it.

This is the classic si-fi film which started a revolution of unique camera angles. Based upon a reality created by a series of computer programmes called the Matrix, the hero called Neo learns of a war between the machine and man centuries ago where man lost. Great flim that will make you think, what is the matrix? Loved this film.

A classic sci-fi action movie that kinda spooked me out. The fight scenes are great and the story that we all live inside a computer program is one that makes u think. is a great movie the first time u watch it but isn't so good after that. Worth watching though

The Matrix stands on its own. This movie gets you thinking - no small thing when you've got Keanu in black leather! It's full of action, the cast is outstanding, the story line is innovative and very well directed. This is a must see movie, on many levels. Don't miss it!

I have mixed feelings about the Matrix, it really does expand your mind a little and make you think about your surroundings (for the first 5 mins after seeing it then you realise no wait it really was a movie and you get over it). I liked the first better than the sequals.. too many religious undercurrents I'm afraid and dont get me started on that!... anyway. cool movie, very different from anything you have or will ever see unless someone tries to rip off the idea

i did not like the original matrix much. of course, after a couple of viewings i eventually came to regard it in a favourable light but it is one of those films you either love or hate. i love the concept though: that we are all being programmed with out our knowledge. keanu reeves makes an amazing 'saviour'

This movie, the original Matrix is fabulous. Totally thought-provoking and the best (in my opinion) out of the Matrix triology. Keanu Reeves is HOT and suits the role perfectly. What more can I say, your collection is missing something if you don't have this movie in it! The special effects are great and the bonus feaatures are very worthwhile to watch.

The matrix is one of the coolest plotted movies out. Its funny because i love hindu philosiphy which is about maya...and maya means illusion, that the material world is an illusion hiding the true background reality....thats basically what the matrix is all about, except in a more material way...in the first place they control the mind in the brain...i personally belive the mind is not in the brain.....because if it was, then why has no scientist or brain man ever seen a persons dreams or thoughts???

The Matrix is an amazing movie and a classic no collection is complete without it, it is a perfect movie if you are bored young and old will love it, it is an action packed movie with the slightest hints of comedy widely spread through it, it is a great movie if you have not seen it you must it is just a classic.

The Matrix is a Rip Off of Dark City. Dark City was an amazing Mystery / Thriller / Sci-Fi / Action film with amazing visuals and amazing script. Filmed in Australia.

In the near future, a computer hacker named Neo (Keanu Reeves) discovers that all life on Earth may be nothing more than an elaborate facade created by a malevolent cyber-intelligence, for the purpose of placating us while our life essence is "farmed" to fuel the Matrix's campaign of domination in the "real" world. He joins like-minded Rebel warriors Morpheus (Laurence Fishburne) and Trinity (Carrie Ann Moss) in their struggle to overthrow the Matrix.

It's not bad in it's special effects, but compared to Dark City, this is just a lame, overrated rip off.

The Matrix is probably the most overrated movie in the last 20 Years. It's not bad, but it's better spent time if you watch Dark City.
