Keanu Reeves, Anthony Quinn, Giancarlo Giannini and Aitana Sanchez-Gijon star in this visually spectacular film, an old-fashioned romance combined with warm family tradition. After returning from World War II, a young G.I. (Reeves) finds he has little in common with the wife he left behind. Disillusioned, he heads north to work as a travelling salesman. There he meets the daughter (Sanchez-Gijon) of a wealthy vineyard owner (Giannini). On her way home, she is terrified of what her domineering father will do when he learns she is unmarried and pregnant. The young man gallantly offers to help by posing as her husband for one night, unaware that doing so will change both of their lives forever.

what a beautiful film! and what an excellent chance to see keanu reeves at his physical best! keanu reeves plays a poor man who makes a living by selling chocolates, who meets a beautiful unmarried woman on a bus who soon reveals that she is pregnant. he goes with her to her home to pretend to be her fiance and what ensues is a touching story
awww i just love this film!! it is just way too cute! Keanu Reeves does another really good job at portraying his wonderfull character! Ans the storyline is just sooo cool. i have never seen anything like this film and i just loved it! i recommend this to anyone who is a fun of Keanu Reeves and anyone who loves reallly good ropmantic films! ten out of ten for me!
another good one from keanu reeves! in this he plays a chocolate salesman who bumps into a woman on thebus, when she becomes upset he is curious enough to ask her what is wrong, turns out she is pregnant and unmarried and on her way home to her very devoite family to break the news. so he offers to play the husband.
This movie tells the story of two strangers who meet and form a special bond. Keanu Reeves character decides to help his new friend decieve her parents after she is left by her fiance while heavily pregnant. It is charming to watch Reeves in the deception as he pretends to be her fiance in order for her to save her dignity. However best laid plans (Reeves staging walking out on her) go astray when they fall for each other. Definately the ultimate love story.
