Retired superhero Bob Parr used to be one of the world's most famous saviours. Known to all as Mr Incredible, he saved lives and fought evil on a daily basis. But 15-years of crime fighting took its toll, so Bob and his uniquely talented wife adopted civilian identities and are now (fairly) content living 'norma'' lives in the suburbs with their kids Violet, Dash and Jack Jack.
Of course Bob's new job as a clock-on, clock-off insurance claims adjuster is a far cry from his previous tasks. Instead of fighting the bad guys, his only fight now is with boredom and his bulging waistline.
Before too long, Bob is itching to get back into the action, and he finally gets another chance to don the red tights when summoned to a remote island for a top secret assignment. Does he still have what it takes to save the world?
This hilarious, action-packed animated adventure is brought to you by the Academy Award winning creators of Toy Story, Monsters, Inc. and Finding Nemo.

This movie is just great. I thnk everyone in the family will enjoy watching this movie especially children.
This is a great movie about five members of a family with super powers. I think all children will love this movie.
A really fun and comical take at the classic 'super hero' story that shows why super heroes really shouldn't wear capes; they just get in the way. A good family movie, with a great moral to it all, it is fun for both the younger and older viewers alike. Although I find the 'baddie' a little weak, as a character, it makes up for it with all the goodies throughout the piece.
the movie - the incredibles was really incredible!! it was much fun, and i think that it would appeal to all members of the family. it was so much fun to watch, and is definitely a memorable disney/pixar movie. the animation reminded me of toy story, which got me interested at first, as i loved that movie!!
Once again Pixar proves why its at the forefront of family entertainment in the new millenium. The incredibles is a story about an unlikely family who have superpowers trying to live an ordinary life when drama ensues!. The characters are easy to like and kids will definitely warm to them. I watched this with my nieces and they couldnt get their eyes off the screen!, I have to say there were a few moments where I was literally at the edge of my seat too, this movie is definitely a keeper buy it and watch it over you wont be dissapointed!
Pixar does it again with a great family movie about what happens when superheroes have to go into hiding and no longer be able to do what they do best..."save the world, catch bad guys, and all superheroes stuff".
What happens when one superhero gets sued along with the rest City Council, and City Council ends up writing a huge payout cheque to "victims" of superhero rescues. Very entertaining family story with huge laughs
These Pixar films just get better and better. The Incredibles was recommended to me by so many people that I had to watch it if only to stop people frmo hounding me about it. And it's brilliant. As well as being funny and action packed, it appeals to all ages and it's really moving in places too! How did that happen? Well done to the folks that keep churning out these high quality animated flicks. keep up the good work.
THE INCREDIBLES is a first-class animated film about a superhero and his family who are forced to seek the anonymity of a government witness protection program to escape a rash of lawsuits orchestrated by their enemies. Mr. Incredible has to endure the boredom of a job as an insurance claims specialist while his wife and children cooperate by also concealing their extraordinary powers in front of others. This is hardest on the children as they play with youngsters at school and on the athletic field. Eventually, Mr. Incredible is lured out of retirement on a ruse by a former foe. By now Mr. Incredible is older and fatter but he still proves equal to the challenge. The rest of the movie is filled with excitement and comical moments as Mr. Incredible finds himself in a tight spot from which only his family can rescue him. The cast is headed by Craig T. Nelson and Holly Hunter. Ms. Hunter supplies the voice for Elastigirl who is also the wife of Mr. Incredible.
who does not love this movie on of the best i have seen for a while i own this movie and would recomment it to any family with children love the streatch (mother), streanth (farther), invisable (sister), speed (son) and the baby jack jack has some werid power is cute though u see his powers at the end.
one of the best animated movie!! i mean its soo cute and the colors are just woah! perfectly done and the story is origiinal. ITS CUTE to the days!! ahaah you should really get this movie! soo good. !!!!
Fifteen years ago, superheroes walked the streets of Metroville, performing acts of great heroism and inspiring many to follow their example. But a string of lawsuits by disgruntled people they'd helped lead to political and public outcry, and the Supers were forced into retirement and government-funded anonymity. Bob Parr used to be Mr. Incredible, one of the greatest and strongest Supers; now, he lives a mundane life as a suburban insurance agent. Although his wife Helen (formerly Elastigirl) has moved on and is more concerned with raising their children Dashiell (who is super-fast and super-confident), Violet (who can turn invisible - and is super-shy) and baby Jack-Jack than battling evil, Bob still yearns for the good old days - and his chance comes when he is approached by a shadowy government organization and asked to join their numbers. But all is not as it seems, and Bob will find himself trapped by Syndrome, an embittered enemy who in his youth once idolized Mr. Incredible - and only his family will be able to save him now.
I hope that this movie does really well because this has to be one of the best animated movies I have ever seen. The story is really cool and it's obvious that there is a lot of respect here for the source of superheroes, whether it be comic books, serial flicks or Saturday morning cartoons.
The movie has an undeniably cool retro feel to it and it shows not only in the design of the picture but also in the music, which definitely sounds like something out of a 60's 007 flick. It is also unusually dark, especially for a Pixar flick. I'm not saying it's dark where people are getting their heads delivered to someone in a box or family members are sleeping with each other or anything like that but there were moments where I found myself wondering if a little kid might be able to deal with the intensity of what was going on on screen. Maybe it was the fact that the heroes were in very real danger most of the time. The bad guys weren't out to catch them as much as they were out to kill them. When you discover who the film's villain is, you can literally feel his anger coming off the screen. I may be over-exaggerating a bit but then again, it really is to the film's credit that it deals with human emotions in the way that it does.
Even though you are watching a film that is populated by CGI characters, the emotions they convey in what they say and do come across as purely believable. Whether watching Bob Parr interact with people at his job or just sitting at his desk was something that rang true to me, just in the feeling of it. Everything about this movie has a very concrete feel to it, even while looking like something you'd see in a comic book. The computer graphics in general were absolutely amazing and the voice acting is excellent across the board, so good in fact, that I really can't pick a favorite from the entire cast. I have to say that Craig T. Nelson and Holly Hunter were very good as Mr. Incredible and Elastigirl respectively. They had a moment near the end of the film that actually touched me but you can see that for yourselves. Samuel L. Jackson was hilarious and thankfully, he wasn't overused. Dash and Violet were realized so well that every time they came up on screen, I loved every minute of it. Dash, in particular was one of the funniest characters in the movie. Jason Lee made for a formidable villain as Syndrome. I loved the fact that he was your typical antagonist but was also aware of the conventions surrounding such a role, like when he chides himself for 'monologuing'. He was also one ruthless bastard, I'll give him that. Even the bit part characters were hilarious. There was a kid on a tricycle in this movie who comes out twice and made me laugh out loud both times.
In fact, this movie reminds me of why I like Finding Nemo over Monsters, Inc. In Finding Nemo, not only are the main characters great but every other character they run into makes some kind of impression on you. Remember all the characters that Marlin and Dory ran into on their adventures together? Of course you do. Whether it was that crazy pelican with the Australian accent, Willem Dafoe as Gill, leader of the fishtank crew, or Bruce the Shark, you remember them after all is said and done and it makes the viewing experience that much richer. That's exactly how The Incredibles is. Every character that appears will make you laugh or intrigue you in some way. I have to admit that I was laughing myself throughout the entire movie, especially with the character of Edna Mode who almost steals the movie. Man, even the end credits are awesome! I have to give the director Brad Bird a big thumbs up for this one. He pulled it off and hopefully this will attract attention to his other animated film, "The Iron Giant", which was sadly overlooked when it was released and is also a really great film.
All in all, I can't recommend this movie enough. I left very satisfied and felt no need to compare this to the rest of Pixar's movies. This one is just as good if not better than any other animated movie released this year and rightfully deserves its place among the best animated movies of all time.
