I love this movie. I think this movie is much maligned by purists and try to compare it to the epic trilogy of LoTR by Peter Jackson! But I think this movie might be a tad closer in characterisations than Peter Jackson may have. I feel that Peter Jackson in some way gave a nod to this movie in that some scenes were directly copied from it. The rotoscoping was quite an innovative effect back in the day, but some do not like it at all and find it dated! I like the effect, especially the Black Riders sequence which was rather quite dramatic. Add it to your list, it can't hurt! :)
In ancient times, the Elven-smiths created the Rings of Power. Then the Dark Lord Sauron created a Ring to rule the Lesser Rings. But the Ring was stolen, and for a long time, he thought it to be lost. But many years later, the Ring came to the hobbit, Bilbo Baggins. In a land called the Shire, Frodo inherits the Ring from his uncle, Bilbo. Now Frodo must take a journey across Middle-earth, and throw the Ring into the volcano, Mt. Doom, the only place it can be destroyed.
This is a great movie it is full of exciting and exilerating. I have watched all three and i have found that they are one of the best movies i have ever seen. They just capture my mind and i love it how they have used the characters, Overall i really enjoy Lord of the Rings
