i love this movie it is so funny!
my fav character is ben and sue.
i feel sorry for ben!
i have not yet seen the second one
but i really want to!
i dont like the part when Vic kills his manager guy it is o discusting!
i am elevan yrs. old and i lik his movie!
i recomend children under 10 yrs. old should not watch this movie!
"Fantasic Four" is a basic plot and that is to be expected. With a lot of good action, the characters are still being developed and set up. I think the "Spiderman" movies did much the same thing, and have just recently gained some complexity in the plotline. "Fantastic Four" is similar.
That said, it is one of the better comic-to-movie efforts and was an enjoyable movie to see. While not in the league of "X-Men", it is still an admirable movie and I had fun watching it.
Fantastic 4 is a not bad movie to watch. Flame guy is one of my favourite characters in this movie because I thought he is so cool with glow of flame on all over his body. But one thing I don't like about him when he thinks he is so good in front of people by showing off of his power. I would like to watch this movie again one day.
this was a pretty good movie, plot left a bit to be desired, as it was your basic action one, with little development, which i guess is to be expected. there were some good action scenes in here, nice to see a little something different, as each of the characters used their special powers. ioan= hottie!!
Fantastic Four is a fun movie. No, it is not deep at all, and you probably would not want it to be. The FF have always been about the bickering and bantering (especially between the Torch and the Thing) as they go about their merry way bashing bad guys and stretching Reed's brain to come up with solutions to all sorts of problems. Some great effects for The Torch, too, I have been waiting for that for a long time.
I don't know why some people wanted more action. That has been the bane of many movies lately - focusing too much on action and special effects and forgetting how to tell a good story.
This movie remembered to use the special effects to help tell the story and not focus on them. The effects were really good and many of them were used for humour instead of action. The only effect that looked a bit computerish or fake was the flame effect on Johnny Storm.
The acting is decent and all the characters seem to fit the roles. They have the right attitudes and lines.
There were a few scenes that were a bit contrived and we weren't sure why/how the character ended up there - for example, Johnny Storm is suddenly in a bike jumping show - but maybe he knows someone on the inside - so we will just let it go. Besides, it's a comic book.
It seemed very true to the feel of the comic books. I really enjoyed this show and would recommend it.
I had high hopes for this movie, but alas, it was not to be. The movie lacked charm - due to the lack of characterisation. The characters are almostly entirely one-dimensional and the actors are stagnant and unconvincing. Reed Richard's character should have been explored from childhood (he is after all the main Fantastic Four). Jessica Alba always looked good, but this wasn't enough to save a poorly executed movie. *sigh*
After hearing all the bad stuff about this movie I thought I’d watch it as a laugh. The thing is I thought it wasn’t half bad. The flame guy had some pretty good laughs going there and the others? Well, rubber man is a bit of a nerd in the comics anyway and the Thing never was too big on personality and Invisible Woman? Well she does her thing. I don’t think this movie was trying to be an Oscar winning freight train, it’s just a good adventure.
haha after reading the coments below i find it funny that people are requesting that hollywood make some btetr movies, hollywoods a city, not a company, they should aim there constant complaints about good movies in a genre they dont like in the first place towards an udience of people who actually give a toss, this movie is fun for the whole family with plenty of laughs and lots fo cool sequences
Investor, astronaut and scientist Dr. Reed Richards' lifelong dream is close to being realized. He is spearheading a trip to outer space, to the center of a cosmic storm. There he hopes to unlock the secrets of the human genetic codes for the benefit of all humanity. Extensive government grant cutbacks nearly dashed the visionary's hopes of the historic flight, until Reed accepted a financing deal with his old college rival, Victor Von Doon, now a billionaire industrialist. Reed's crew for the mission includes his best friend, astronaut Ben Grimm; Sue Storm, Von Doom's director of genetic research and Reed's ex-girlfriend; and Sue's hot-headed younger brother, pilot Johnny Storm. With benefactor Von Doom in tow, the four set off for the exploration of a lifetime. The mission is uneventful--until Reed discovers a miscalculation of the speed of the approaching storm. Within minutes, the event threshold is upon them. The space station is engulfed by turbulent clouds of cosmic radiation which genetically transforms the crew. Their DNA is irrevocably altered--and so is their future. Back on earth, the effects on the exposure are quickly revealed. Reed gains the ability to stretch and contort his body into any shape he can imagine and, as leader of the group, is given the name Mr. Fantastic; Sue is able to render herself invisible and to create and project powerful force fields as Invisible Woman; Johnny becomes known as The Human Torch, as he can now engulf his body in flames and take flight at will; and Ben, whose freakish transmutation is the most shocking, becomes an orange-colored, rock-like, superhumanly strong creature, The Thing. Together, they turn tragedy into triumph and catastrophe into coalition, using their unique and formidable powers to thwart the evil plans of their now steely-eyed, iron-fisted nemesis Dr. Doom and to protect the citizens of New York City against any threat that may arise. Astronauts. Superheroes. Celebrities. To the world, they are the Fantastic Four. To each other, they are a family.
