i really liked the santa clause movie. tim allen is really funny in it, as usual. i enjoyed the storyline, it was much fun to watch, and my entire family enjoyed it. i think it would be suitable to people of all ages, it is one of those movies that appeals to everyone. one of the best christmas movies around.
Though I am not a fan of 'Santa Clause II', my family thoroughly enjoys this, the first movie. It has all the exciting and wondrous elements that kids love and is entertaining for adults too. Tim Allen provides both the gentle kindness you expect from Santa and the cynical flip you expect from an adult told he -is- the new Santa. He is very funny. Also, the way the new experience is treated by Allen and by others around him is prefectly believable.
The Santa Clause" isn't laugh out loud, roll on the floor comedy; it isn't old-fashioned "It's a Wonderful Life," romance. Nope. It's an original '90s style Christmas story that tugs at your heart strings, and reminds you that we were all kids once. It reminds you of those days when you dreamt of Santa... when you stood in line waiting to sit on the jolly elf's lap... your knees shaking... as you tried to memorize what you were going to ask Santa. Anyone who isn't touched by this movie should look for the little boy or girl inside, and remember the Christmas Eves when you listened for the clatter of reindeer hooves on the roof. If you have no such memories, you may not understand this movie. Thumbs up to Tim Allen and Judge Reinhold! Thanks for the happy tears!
this is a great santa movie! this movie has a great story line and plot. a great movie for the family to all get together and watch. the actors all work really well together and the characters they play are the ones you either love... or love to hate! i reccomend this movie to all! this is a movie you will watch over and over again. the price isnt going to break the bank so you better get in quick before stock sells out!
great movie! really captured my heart the first time i watched it, andf not just my heart, but my familys heart as well. if you like movies of this genre then you will definatley enjoy this film! if i was a teacher, then i would be giving this film an A+++++++ definatly something you should all go out and spend ur money on!
The Santa Clause is actually a little bit better than your average Christmas comedy dross, with Tim Allen playing a disinterested single father who, after killing Santa Claus, must take his place. It degenerates into the same moralistic messages as other holiday themed films, but at least Tim Allen has a bit more charisma than you'd expect.
A typical Christmas movie... Or is it?
He killed Santa, and know he must become Santa, so he does and he delivers presents all over the world, you never know what will happen next because things always get in the way and things always happen, this is a total classic and a must watch if you have not seen it you do not know what you are missing out on.
This is a great tis the season to be jolly movie...and when i say jolly i really mean jolly....tim allen shows his larger for life size as he packs on the milk the cookies to prove he can take over Santas Job. all my little brothers and sisters loved this movie and loved the second one just as much. a great movie for christmas eve...to wait for the prezzies. Watch Tim allen turn into the great santa.
this is a pretty average movie really, in my opinion. this is basically about a guy who has to fill in for santa claus after he falls off his roof. he then has to learn how to do everything, and puts on weight etc. some nice filming of what the north pole would look like, and is a pretty good tool to get kids into the xmas theme of things, but the storyline leaves a bit to be desired.
Great kiddie and parentals christmas movie. Tim Allen is funny as usual and the plot is pretty good too. Kids will love it. Parents will have a chuckle to at the jokes that go over the kid's heads. The elves will win the kids over hands down. Good for all ages. A must this Christmas (or Christmas eve or Boxing day).
