hehehe. Johnny depp is as usual at his best in the mvie at being Captain Jack Sparrow. This seque to the Pirates of the Carribean: Curse of the Black pearl, starts with the wedding of Will Turner and Elizabeth Swann. But, the wedding is interrupted with arrest of the two. and thus another adventure begins, as Will sets off to find Jack so he can set Elizabeth free. We find out that the time for Jack as captain of the Black Pearl is up according to the deal he made with Davy Jones. If jack does not obey the rules, the Kraken will be sent after him.

Like the other Pirates movies this does not have an intelligent well-thought out or even coherent story line. In fact there is no story. There's Captain Jack Sparrow trying his damndest not to end up on the crew of the Flying Dutchman, there's Lord Beckett trying to capture the heart of Davy Jones for himself and thus control the seas, and there's Will (on a mission from Beckett) out to get Jack's compass.

There is however, lots and lots of pretty pictures (special effects) and people leaping off things, shooting each other, fighting, blowing the sides out of ships with cutlery, and Johnny Depp swanning about- oh and becoming chief of a tribe of cannibals. That was pretty funny.

For entertainment: 10/10

Where the first "Pirates of the Carribean" was fairly fresh and contained a very funny performance from Johnny Depp, the second film was a long, tired, turgid monster of film, devoid of life, fun and adventure. In my opinion, one of the most unnecessary sequels ever (surpassed only by the third film...).

In this pirates movie they have to take Davy Jone's heart and destroy it, however, everyone wants it for a different reason - Jack wants it for himself, Will wants it to save his father and Elizabeth wants to destroy all the evil. This movie does not end satisfyingly...so you will have to go and watch the third one to find out the ending.

Johnny Depp,Orlando Bloom and Kiera Knightly
are very good actors in pirates....
although Johnny is the best of them all!

If you are a ravid fan of the Pirates series then adding this to your collection is worth it. Continuing the story of Capt Jack Sparrow and his seek to escape the Locker of Davy Jones, Bloom and Knightely interweave themselves in a search for Jack and the journey it takes them on. The DVD has some additional funny footage and helpful deleted scenes. The 2nd part to this sequel, this movie establishes some more story for the 3rd movie so isnt as gripping as the 1st.

The sequel to the infamous "Black Pearl" story - this movie carries on the story of Capt jack Sparrow, as you learn that he is searching for the chest of Davy Jones locker to free himself from a curse of his own. Ms Swann and Will Turner go to search jack out to win their freedom as well from a new British leader. This 2nd film was much slower and confusing at parts. There is about 30 minutes of digression that is so unnecessary and too many open questions. the extra 2 disc special is a worthwhile bonus for all the extra features

I have never actually seen this movie, but I have heard that it is pretty bad. I also think that Keira Knightley, Edward Scissor Hands and what's his name, the pixie boy from lord of the rings aren't to crash hot in it either. Yeah, a bit of a let down. But basing a movie on a ride at a theme park doesn't seem like a sound idea for a movie. You either love it or you don't.

This was one of the most boring movies that I’ve seen in a long time. Granted I’m not an A1 fan of any of the cast so I’m not fainting over Johnny Depp or Orlando or anything, but still I don’t mind them. That being said, this movie just felt about an hour too long. Orlando overacts his parts so much and Depp is just the same old ‘crazy’ character that he always plays. The only redeeming quality that I can find is that this is a kids movie and so was probably meant to be like this. Other than that it was very boring.

I am a big fan of these movies mostly because of the cast so if you are a fan of Johnny Depp, Orlando Bloom and/or Kiera Knightly, this movie is good for you! I have to say though, that the first movie was better. This movie did satisfy my fetish for Johnny Depp though and I did enjoy it however I found it very long and the plot was a bit complex and all over the place.
But if you enjoyed the first one you will probably like this one too
