Classic comedy in the famous british style withour fuss. the writers and actors of this production are so clever the humour is effortless. this is the type of television we dont see currently.
This movie is hilarious. I have never laughed so much ever. It has great acting, affects, dialogue, and especially superb humour – everything you need in a great movie. The movie does have a few scenes that drag out but all in all it’s a must have for all comedy fans and is suitable for basically all ages. It’s a must have, so buy it – You definitely won’t be disappointed. Thank you
"As Time Goes By" is a lovely BBC comedy series that starred oscar winning actress Judi Dench ('M' in the new Bond films) and Geoffrey Palmer... it ran from 1992 to 2002... as a young couple in the 1950s, they met and fell in love; however, he was posted overseas and she remained in England nursing... 38 years on, he returns to get his book published and used his old flame's firm... thus begins the attempt to rekindle their relationship... lovely, sweet, subtle comedy, as only the Brits know how...
This is such a lovely, gentle comedy. It is timeless and you can watch it over and over again. I wish I lived with them! Fantastic house, fantastic family. It's nice to see the two main characters get back together after all that time and having to get to know each other again. Teaming Lionel up with yuppie publisher Alistair Deacon was hilarious, you couldn't get two more different personalities. The series is so well written, the characters work so well together, it leaves you feeling happy and contented. It's one you know you could watch and share a laugh at with your Grandma's!
