Lightning McQueen (voiced by Owen Wilson) is a hotshot rookie race car who is driven to succeed.
But when he finds himself unexpectedly detoured in the sleepy Route 66 town of Radiator Springs, he discovers that life is about the journey, not the finish line.
On route across the country to the big Piston Cup Championship in California to compete against two seasoned pros, McQueen gets to know the town’s offbeat characters, including Sally - a snazzy 2002 Porsche (voiced by Bonnie Hunt), Doc Hudson - a 1951 Hudson Hornet with a mysterious past (voiced by Paul Newman), and Mater - a rusty but trusty tow truck (voiced by Larry The Cable Guy). The gang help him realise that there are more important things than trophies, fame and sponsorship.
The all-star vocal cast also includes free-wheeling performances by racing legend Richard Petty and Cheech Marin. Fuelled with plenty of humour, action, heartfelt drama, and amazing new technical feats, Cars is a high octane delight for moviegoers of all ages.

This movie not only reflected the advancements being made in computer animation, but it puts real humanity into cars and traces quite an ethical and substantial plot. Its funny, cute, and enjoyable. A prideful racecar learning humility and compassion in the most unexpected place. Great for the kiddies and for adults as well..
Great cast of characters, defined for younger viewers but still giving entertainment to those that are older. The animation just blows your mind as pixer just keeps redifining the graphic genre with a great storyline with a strong finale that is only half predictable that will have you children on the edge of thier seets, Boys especially love this movie, Chi ching chi chow... catch phraze that I used to hear alot from a 5 yr old, good stuff pixar, keep it up
Another brilliant, if predictable, movie from the leaders in animation, Pixar, about a racecar that gets stranded out in a small town filled witht he sort of vehicles he would normally look down his nose at, until he becomes friends with them all. Pixar once again deliver a film with cutting edge animation and family morals all around, plus it has some good cameos in there.
