– Customer review on 09/02/2008 This film and "Blazing Saddles", plus the earlier "The Producers" were the high watermark of Mel Brooks' career. What makes "Young Frankenstein" work so well is the attention to detail: the film looks fantastic, the cinematography and set design creating a wonderfully "straight" atmosphere for all the humour that follows. Feldman is great, Kahn deliciously absurd and the late, great Peter Boyle steals the show as the monster. A wonderfully funny film.
