A fairly predictable story - girl hates boy at first meeting and then grows to love him. Katherine Heigl is utterly charismatic, and I love everything she does, and 27 dresses is no exception. The subplot is good - Jane and her sister's unresolved issues of jealousy and sibling rivalry keeps the storyline interesting when Tess falls in love with Jane's boss - who happens to be the object of Jane's desire also. I loved the fact that the boss (George) was actually a nice boss and not a cliched user/abuser type. The bridesmaid dresses scene where she goes through and parades in the worst ever dresses she has worn for her friends weddings is hilarious - hideous frothy confections to saris to cowgirlesque. My fave scene is where she and Kevin get drunk and end up singing "Benny and the Jets" on top of a bar. If you want a nice, romantic comedy with a few laughs, and a decent plot, make sure to watch 27 Dresses. Hopeless romantics - this one is for you :)
