Master jewel thief Miles Logan (Martin Lawrence, star of BAD BOYS and LIFE) has a problem! A $20 million problem! Recently released from prison after a botched heist, he's anxious to retrieve the huge diamond that he hid in a construction site two years ago. Unfortunately, his hiding place is now the home of the 37th L.A. Police Precinct. But when Miles poses as a Detective to work his way into the building, his new "boss" is so impressed with his credentials (they're fake of course!) that he gives him a rookie partner and sends him out on the streets to serve and protect. Now, as Miles continues the charade until he can find a way to get the diamond, he'll discover that his life of crime has given him all the skills he needs to be a damn good Cop and the envy of his fellow boys in blue.

Blue Streak" is an enjoyable film that stars one of the funniest comedians in the business, Martin Lawrence. Lawrence is teamed with Luke Wilson as they take on the bad guys using humor.
From the very beginning, I knew that "Blue Streak" would be funny and interesting. The only requirement was to sit back and relax so the movie can carry me through. The story was quite unique having a thief pretend to be a police detective determined to collect a jewel left behind from a previous heist.
To make the plot better and more interesting the writers make Lawrence's character in charge of the burglary division. Wilson didn't really add to the story and seemed to fill a role of sidekick. It was a pleasure to see William Forsythe in a role that did not have playing a villain. Overall, "Blue Streak" worked for me.
Blue Streak is actually an ok movie
, martin lawrence quite often egts really crap roles, but ocasionly he gets himself a decent role and hes quite a good funny actor so he makes good of what hes got, this is a cvase where the movies average, bnut he made it really cool, its really good, the end is awesome
Martin Lawrence seems to be box office poison often (see National security, Black Knight)... however, this is a lot of fun, as Lawrence, a tjewel thief, must pose as a cop in order to track down a stolen diamond... Luke Wilson plays his apparently naive offsider / partner... it's fun watching Lawrence come across as a savvy cop, winning the plaudits of his "fellow" officers...
This movie is so funny!!! Martin Lawrence is a very funny guy given the chance, though I think that this movie is perhaps him at his best, while National Security was awful. It is of course a black meets white buddy cop movie, but it is a good one. OF COURSE there is the inevitable scene where the black and white guy are in the car and they keep bitch fighting and snatching over the radio station and what music to listen to haha..good times...
um a funny movie i suppose. i dont know i dont normally find martin lawrence movies to be anywhere near funny and i try to avoid them like the plague, but this one was reccomended to me by a mate so i watched it. it has its moments of being really funny but the problem that it falls into like most martin lawrence films is that he just isnt funny and he cant carry the lead at all well.
