Good natured film about a loser whos family abandoned him when he was a child. He works as a janitor for a radio station, and gets to tell his life story on the air. Pretty weak at times, Joe Dirt is one of those comedies you will enjoy if you keep your expectations low - very low.

Apart form a few cheesy jokes which make me chuckle this film is a complete waste of time. It starts off a reasonably believable tale of a red neck and his search for his family. By the end of the film the entire thing is blow so far out of proportion on every level its insane.

I laughed when the weedy Joe Dirt (David Spade) called for a microphone check on his two clenched fists, but otherwise this is extremely lame... OK, he's white trash with a mullet... and that's about it... the "Silence of the Lambs" bit was creepy... it was really just a set of skits or scenes strung together... Spade is at his best when he plays caustic, dry, sarcastic (as he did opposite the late Chris Farley)... however, without Farley to work off, Spade just can't carry a film... this is a waste of time...

What can I say - combining David Spade, a Mullet and a storyline about a reject searching for his parents and you have a movie that is hilarious and highly entertaining. I love the fact that Joe Dirt is the underdog in a sense, and that he is searching for his parents. Everyone is mean to him and you just get this feeling throughout the movie that you want him to win and I love it. It has great funny parts and a neat story and moral. Well recommended.

This is one of the funnest movies ever, it is such a classic and i think everybody knows the name joe dirt. His mullet is one of the biggest mullets i have ever seen. i think his mullet makes the movie. becuase its such a classic it belong in every goood dvd collection

well i was really surprised by this movie, im not really a fan of david spade he kind of irritates me in a way thats not funny. but this movie had some great laughs in it for me and the guest apearences from dennis miller and christopher walken made the movie a breeze to watch and an enjoyable experience. worth a watch as it is actually ok, not fantastic but ok.

I love little Joe Dirt. He's an orphan from the middle of white trash america, and although he's not that spiffy he's got a good heart. His story is worth your time, it's so much fun to watch him, because he's clueless but as funny as hell. This is David Spades best character yet.

David spade has pulled off afew good roles, he was best in just shoot me, but one thing he deserves credit for is his ability to be a hick, he makes such a funny hick, this movie is stupid beyond belief but its funny aswell, yuou have to love the a- bomb scene witht he roman candles

this is a really good movie to see if you are a fan of the loveable and really funny david spade, who really shines in this role and plays joe dirt with immense skill, which is a tribute to him as an actor. some laugh out loud funny scenes in here, some come from the dog, which are particularly enjoyable! great watch

joe dirt is a really funny movie. there are many great and memorable scenes and lines. the style of the movie is good too with the main character, joe dirt retelling his lofe story on a radio station show. this is a great comedy and should be watched by all. perfect to watch with friends or family.
