The holiday season is in full swing when a cultured gentleman with twinkling eyes, an ample belly, and a snowy beard is hired as Macy's department store Santa.
He claims his name is Kris Kringle, and soon fills everyone with Christmas spirit - except for his boss, Doris Walker, who's raising her daughter Susan to not believe in Santa. But when Kris is declared insane and put on trial, everyone's faith is put to the test as old and young alike face the age old question: Do you believe in Santa Claus?
Synopsis
In this holiday "miracle", based on the famous 1947 film classic, a little girl discovers dreams can come true if you really believe. Six-year-old Susan Walker has doubts about childhood's most enduring miracle - Santa Claus. Her mother told her the "secret" about Santa Claus a long time ago, so Susan doesn't expect to receive the most important gifts on her Christmas list. But after meeting a special department store Santa who's convinced he's the real thing, Susan is given the most precious gift of all - something to believe in.

This is one of those old time sweet tales to get you into the holiday season mood. A young girl is raised to believe that there is no such thing as Santa Claus. Though upon meeting a gentleman whilst waiting at the traffic lights sparks a thought in her mind that maybe he is real. She endeavours to go against what her mother has raised her to believe and prove to her mother that Santa is real and Christmas miracles do occur.
A sweet movie for the whole family to enjoy anytime of the year.
this is one of those really good xmas movies to get you into the spirit of believing. this is about a girl who has been raised to not believe in santa, but then must reconsider her beliefs. this stars the girl from matilda as the young girl, and she really does an excellent job. this movie also makes you think, as its quite deep too.
This update of a Christmas Classic is a winner. Mara Wilson is wonderful as a girl who is not sure about Santa being real or not. Kids of all ages and Christmas nuts too will watch this movie over and over again - in December or not. Buy it - you will not regret it!
