DVD received promptly, well-packaged and in good condition, and although the DVD was incorrectly labelled (stating the release was in colour, when on playing it I was pleased to discover it was in fact the original black and white version I had ordered), that was no fault of the seller!
this is marilyn monroe's most loved movie, and i can see why! it is a hilarious and delightful tale of two young men who dress up as women in order to join a females only jazz band. the only thing that annoys me here is that marilyn monroe keeps saying that she is 'not very bright'
Billy Wilder had a brilliant flair for just about any sort of movie and an almost flawless comedic touch. Some Like It Hot is an absolute classic with its madcap pace, and cross dressing plot, part buddy caper movie, part romantic comedy, part cheeky gender bending satire, it is really something special.
This film is an absolute classic and one of the funniest you will ever come across.
Marilyn Munroe is nice to look at and quite funny playing the 'stupid blonde' but the main attraction to the film here is the performances by Tony Curtis and Jack Lemmon. They are almost believable as 2 Showgirls and the Story keeps itself interesting throughout the whole film by keeping the plot going, changing from serious to comedic all the time.
