An absolute classic. A groundbreaking film of its day and still regarded by critics as possibly one of the greatest movie ever made if not the greatest. The then twenty five year old Orson Welles, who dared to take on the might of the mega wealthy and influential Hearst family and paid a huge professional price for it. Even after all this time, the movie retains its incredibly powerful mesage. A real tour de force and everyone should watch it at some point in their life time.

This is an amazing film, I cried, laughed and felt so much empathy for Kane. This is a delightful film and is so well made for the time, it exceeds anything I even heard about it, the comedy, the camera work, the effects, everything far exceeded it's time. This film deserves the praise it gets, and this edition is an excellent one with bonus features, Well worth the money

wow... well yes an incredible movie that i must say is kind of hard to watch now. the pacing is so slow that it at time makes for dull viewing. It is however one of those movies that you basically have to watch and also have to love, mainly because almost every film technique to this day stems from this film. The doco on the second disc is also very good and worth buying itself.

Citizen Kane was contraversially based on a real life tycoon, and used some innovative cinematic techniques. Stark and shadowy and very powerful. Hard to say anything new about Citizen Kane, though, it has been so exhaustively analysed and dissected.
