Circle Of Friends

Circle Of Friends is a story of first love, first kisses and first betrayals. Three girlhood friends are re-united in college, ready to experience life to the fullest. Eve, an orphan, quiet and observant; Nan, socially and sexually precocious; and Benny (Minnie Driver), a modest, self-conscious dreamer. It doesn't take long for them all to meet men and fall in love. But one of them, unsure of herself and scared of rejection, follows her heart out on a limb for the brightest, best-looking boy on campus. Will her shyly adventurous spirit be rewarded?

Synopsis

In the fall of 1957, Benny (MINNIE DRIVER) and Eve (Geraldine Rawe) eagerly escape the dull confines of Knockglen, their hometown to attend college in Dublin. There they meet up with Nan (Saffron Burrows), a friend from grade school who has learned her way around the university from her years as a precocious and social high school student. She introduces Benny to Jack Foley (CHRIS ODONNELL), the handsome and charming star of the rugby team, and the romantic adventure begins. Circle of Friends is a story of first love and three best friends their loyalty, their betrayals and most of all, their men.
