I purchased this for a friend's teen daughter after having been recommended to watch it myself by a friend. I had to have some excuse to sneakily watch it. I must say, what a production. Really quite amazing and no doubt a real trend setter for future musicals. Sure its sugar coated and very very American, but it was rather enjoyable, colourful, well produced and definitely contained some tap your toes moments. Inoffensive good old fun. I am not sure I would stretch to watching it over and over like my friend's daughter, but I really did enjoy it and MIGHT even buy the second one!

High School Musical is a movie that all young kids love. It is full of music and song (of course), with a little bit of romance thrown in. And of course, the two main characters who fall in love face many challenges as they come from two totally different groups.

This is another teen/children movie. Its a good film. Not really bad and not that good. Well if you watch it over and over again you'll get sick of the singing and not so good acting of Troy and Gabrielle. Oh not to mention the dancing. It was all horrible. Well not an adult movie anyway. This has been popular for kids age 5 years onwards, maybe alot of kids knows how sing the song and dance.

This movie comes with my favourite song with the two main couples (characters) in this movie singing. Its a musical movie suitable for all ages about their high school stage of life time. They have many nice songs. You ought to enjoy this movie if you love love songs and young at heart. This movie is still quite recent. Its a good movie. Whether you're watching with your friends or family, if you like this kind of theme you would enjoy this movie like I do.

This is a great movie for those of you who like singing and dancing.
This is a movie that I would recommend for eveyrone who likes a good show. Everything that is done in this movie is done to the highest standard and I wonder how long it took to practice and perform the dances in this movie.
I apperaciate all the hard work put into this movie to make it so greta.
I think this movie would appeal to all ages especially older children.

A great, clean, funny movie that will leave you smiling & singing. The sing-a-long version is great for a party. The kind of movie every parent wants their kids to watch and the kind of movie every kid (young & old) loves to watch.

This is an absolutely awesome film! I'm surprised that Disney didn't take it to the theatres because they would have racked in the gold! The actors are all well known disney stars from other popular shows and as many of them on't have main parts this allows them to shine in their own light for a change. The songs were awesomely sung and catchy and even my 11 year old brother enjoyed it! Who knew boys were into romance and singing??

Man what a terrible film. Worst i have ever seen! It is sad to see this kind of tackey stuff on tv. It is the most boring typical stupud american film there is. The american have a really nat for making really boring stupid films. Do not buy this it is a wwast of money.

i thought that high school musical was incredible. i loved the storyline, and the songs were so much fun! although i like it less because vanessa anne hudgens cannot lip-sync well at all, it was still a fun watch. the acting by ryan&sharpay was great, and i really loved their song they sung for the first audition. a great movie by disney, and i cant wait for the sequel!! i would reccommend this to anyone who loves cheesy, feel good films. definitely check it out!!!!!!!!

This was a overall good movie by the Disney Channel's standards! I, being 18 years of age and sitting at home on a Friday night to watch it, am happy to say I sat through the entire thing happily! This movie is for adults and kids and also brought me back to high school even though it was only a year ago! The music brings meaning to the story and without it the movie wouldn't be complete which is why it is called High School Musical! I hope everyone who sees it enjoyed it as much as I did!! If Disney keeps up at this rate all the new actors and actress, singers and everyone will be the new product of them! Look at Hillary Duff, Lindsay Lohan, Raven, and many others! This movie has a few soon to be rising stars in it! Good job Disney!!
