this was an awesome movie, by the legendary tim burton (nightmare before christmas). i really loved this movie, it was quite odd and eerie, like most of tims other work, but i loved it none the less! definitely a must see for those other fans of tim burtons! johnny depp does a great job in this, fantastic acting for all actors
Interesting fairytale story done in typical Tim Burton style about an old inventor who dies before he can finish his creation, leaving him with scissors for hands. When an optomistic Avon lady finds him she decides to bring him home, with interesting consequences. Johnny Depp is perfect as the shy Edward, and Winoa Ryder as the girl he falls in love with.
for some reason, perhaps the rather creepy cover of the dvd, i thought this would be a creepy horror flick about some strange frankenstein like creature, who cuts thing *shudder* but i was pleasantly surprised to find that it was not so, and johnny depp and winona ryder both give fantastic performances in this movie
First off, I am a huge Tim Burton fan. Almost everything he does has a certain quality I find darkly amusing and satisfying. Now, I saw this movie in elementary school, and I was so yound I didn't really understand what it was about. Well, fourteen years went by, I grew up (physically at least) and decided to pick this movie up. It BLEW MY MIND!! The story, the characters, the quirky Burton gadgets, everything. It is now quickly becoming one of my favorite movies ever, but then again, I am a huge Burton fan.
Edward Scissorhands is one of the most well known movie from the early 1990s. Edward Scissorhands is an excellent movie and stars Johnny Depp and Winona Ryder. The acting is excellent, the storyline is interesting, and the movie comes across really well. I would say that this movie is a movie that you really have to see to say that you have seen it - it is a clssic.
this is a real cult classic, from the master of all things out there and fantastical, tim burton. johnny depp really comes into his own in this role, and takes you for a wild ride, as you find out all about edward, and really come to feel his pain. a must watch, and a must own dvd too, for it is a fave with many
An absolute must have for all home movie collections. Contains something for everyone of all ages - wholesome entertainment for children, yet saucy enough for adults. Tim Burton's films coupled with Depp's remarkable acting abilities make this movie a classic. And, let's not forget Vincent Price who adds his star power to this brilliant masterpiece.
This is one of my favourite movies. This is a masterpiece by Tim Burton and Johnny Depp's performance is amazing. The plot is unique and heartwarming and is well worth watching. The music by Danny Elfman is also perfect for the movie.
Any fan of Tim Burton's work will not be disappointed
This is a classic movie and done in a real stylish way. Winona Ryder plays her part pretty simply which is what is required I guess but it could have done with a little depth in my opinion. Johnny Depp is what makes this movie great and he shows a lot of emotion in his almost alien portrayal of Edward Scissorhands. A great movie.
This is a classic movie, really old and wow johnny depp is so young in there, its a very weird movie but definityl a must check out movie, its very unique in many senses and edards a pretty funny charcter so there are alot of laughs, and i mean alopt fo laughs
