In this extraordinary adventure, the Fantom is trying to start a World War, and be at the head of it. The Fantom has highly superior weapons to the normal weapons of that day, and he also has extreme cunning, as we see by his tricking the countries into suspecting each other for war-mongering. A supposed loyalist to her Majesty's Empire is sent to fetch Allan Quatermain(Sean Connery) in an effort to track down the group who is trying to start the war. In a private and secret meeting, Quatermain meets who he is to be teaming up with on this mission. He is accompanied by Captain Nemo (Naseeruddin Shah), Mina Harker (Peta Wilson), Rodney Skinner (the Invisible Man, Tony Curran), Dorian Gray (Stuart Townsend), Tom Sawyer (Shane West), and Dr. Henry Jekyll (Also Mr. Edward Hyde, Jason Flemyng). Soon into their adventure they discover that the Fantom is behind these attacks, but there is more to this war than battle and cunning.

The characters on this film are bigger then life, and are the hero's of yesteryear. A montly crew of a vampire, CIA agent, the undead and others characters team up to stop a mistrious villian hell bend on starting a world war. Base around the early 1900's it shows the fantastical look and the "modern" techicalogical advancements that might or could be.

this story is a look into how hero in our yesteryear were, bold, strong and bigger then life. A montly crew of vampires, undead and CIA agent makes for an interesting tale. this is all sewn together by Sean Connery as an aging Allen Quatimain who reluncently goes on a quest to save the world once again.

The story premise was great, but the acting only just above average. There were some factual inconsistencies, but if we wanted real life we wouldn't be watching movies now would we? I will agree with the sentiment that Sean Connery was not at his best in this movie.

This film is a look into yesteryear, when men did not ask permission to do and say heroic deeds. Indeed it is an interesting assemble of heros. It ranges from the undead to the untried. Sean Connery brings a statesmen like performace to the film which carries the film a long way. A 7 out of 10

I liked this moive love the powers they were give just the ship was a bit over the top how can that ship even get close to land with out it hitting the bottom it makes no sence. Besides from the this movie was excellent i like jackel and hide he was a strange but great character loved it very much. I would give it A +++ for great movie.

I really enjoyed this movie. It had enough action and twists and turns to keep you entertained. The special effects were pretty good too. Loaded with well-known actors, it made the film seem perhaps more than what it was. The storyline was good although I'm not sure that all the characters really got to shine.

The League Of Extraordinary Gentlemen is an amazing action packed classic it is about a group of people with extraordinary power like Dr. Jeckel and Mister Hyde, an invisible man and so forth,

This is an amazing movie with a hardcore story line that will keep running through your mind for months to come, no collection is complete without it.

i did not like this movie at all. they made a mockery of timeless classic storys myths ect. threading them in in an impossible timestream the plot was slim and dull, it was just another fantasy movie with a green backdrop. to unrealistic for me it would never work in reality.

Wow, this movie could have been sooo much better. The graphic novel is actually very good quality. The characters are well thought out and balanced. In the movie it seems as if Sean Connery is not really into the role and at the same time his role is over-emphasized simply because he is Sean Connery. A real pity.
