The Last Man on Earth is Not Alone
Robert Neville (Will Smith) is a brilliant scientist, but even he could not contain the terrible virus that was unstoppable, incurable, and man made. Somehow immune, Neville is now the last human survivor in what is left of New York City, and maybe the world. But he is not alone.
He is surrounded by The Infected victims of the plague who have mutated into carnivorous beings who can only exist in the dark and who will devour or infect anyone or anything in their path. For three years, Neville has spent his days scavenging for food and supplies and faithfully sending out radio messages, desperate to find any other survivors who might be out there. All the while, The Infected lurk in the shadows, watching Neville's every move, waiting for him to make a fatal mistake.
Perhaps mankind's last, best hope, Neville is driven by only one remaining mission to find a way to reverse the effects of the virus using his own immune blood. But his blood is also what The Infected hunt, and Neville knows he is outnumbered and quickly running out of time

Very good entertainment but you must have a taste for horror. This movie has the potential for people to flock to all over again when CGI technology improves. Very strong messages of emotion, companionship and tragedy. Great acting from the living cast members and an opportunity for the human mind to think about one of the worlds many "what if" senario's. I would love to see this re-visited when technology improves and because the potential for a remake is high, having this edition would make a complete set, the original batch is always better than purchasing reproduced lines. This would be a great edition to your existing collection!
This could easily have been a classic but unfortunately those CGI zombies are so bad that it detracts from the film. Why even have them? look at 28 days later/Dawn of the Dead - they are just not needed - CGI for the sake of CGI. Great acting from Will Smith (and I'm not a Will Smith fan). Some really tense moments (especially when trying to hunt down his dog.)
I am Legend is a mixed bag for me. I read the oroginal script and this feature contains about 5% of the story from what was originally setup, which is disappointing as the script was one of the best that i have ever read. Saying that the end product here is still an entertaining film with the story carried through by a good performance from Smith as usual. The major problem is that the CGI creatures look pretty bad and take you out of the isolation created in the first half of the film
