– Customer review on 26/01/2008 This series is fantastic. It's funny, romantic, sad, & really poignant at times. It's abut the life of a family who may be poor of finances, but very rich in spirit, love & generosity. Poor, unsuspecting, Charlie, the taxman; not only does he get a lesson in life, when he happens on the Larkins, but a lesson in love as well.
This is very typical of English film-making, where the characters & the settings are so genuin, you almost feel transported there.
