In this exclusive DVD premiere, Stewie, the maniacal baby genius, is distracted from his plans for world domination when he sees a man who looks just like him on television. Convinced that this man must be his real father (after all, how could he possibly share genetic material with the dimwitted Peter?), Stewie sets off on a cross-country road trip to find him. But his incredible journey leads him to discoveries far more vile and shocking than anything found in his diaper.

The major sub-plot circles around the youngest Griffin, Stewie, has a near death experience at a pool when a lifeguard chair falls on him, but survive. After having a vision of being in Hell, he decided to change his ways, but didn't last long. When watching TV, he and Brian spots a man that looks like Stewie, who is convinced that he is Stewie's actually father, until Stewie learns that the man is actually Stewie in his adult state and has been vacationing from his own time. Stewie visits thirty some years later realizing that his adult self, going by the name Stu, is blue-collar middle-age virgin who is working at a Circuit City-type store and is not seeing anyone. Meanwhile, Peter and Lois are trying to teach their two older kids, Meg and Chris to date. In the future, Chris, who hasn't changed a lot, is working as a cop and is married to a foulmouth hustler named Vanessa, and Meg is now going under the name "Ron", which she had a sex-change after college.
A nice addition to the Family Guy collection of dvds, but I would not consider it essential viewing if you were trying to decide between buying a season of the show and buying this movie. Be forewarned though, Family Guy is not a children's show, despite the fact that it is a cartoon - older teens and up only, please!
I am insanely curious as to why reviews for the show 24 are mixed with this Family Guy dvd... but that aside, Family Guy is a great cartoon, which in the great tradition of Futurama or The Simpsons, is really a show for the older age bracket of late teens to adults, rather than the younger generation. This is an amusing little side-story from the show, but not an essential edition to add to your collection.
Man did i laugh when i first saw this movie it was fantastic absolutely awesome the best movie i had seen just because it was so stupid and funny and just so absolutely family guy! of course it has its moments but all round this movie is definately one of a kind!
The Ultimate Western Spoof. A town where everyone seems to be named Johnson is in the way of the railroad. In order to grab their land, Hedley Lemar, a politically connected nasty person, sends in his henchmen to make the town unlivable. After the sheriff is killed, the town demands a new sheriff from the Governor. Hedley convinces him to send the town the first Black sheriff in the west. Bart is a sophisticated urbanite who will have some difficulty winning over the townspeople.
Haha like most movies based on series, I wasn't too happy with it but hey it's still good and it has plenty of laughs. I thought the story didn't quite hold together as well as regular episodes, maybe because of the huge time difference and the pressure it puts on the writers. My favourite line is Quagmire at the pool... Guess I can't go swimming for half an hour...
It follows the story of Stewie griffin having a near-death experience and trying to re-invent himself as a nice person. He then realises it is pointless, then goes on a search to find his father (as he refuses to acknoledge the fact that peter is his father), he then find somebody who he thinks is his father, which turns out to be him from the future. He goes into the future and sees whats going on.
Pretty complicated from an outside look, but when you watch it you'll understand. Very funny, my favourite part is when bugs bunny gets shot.
At first the idea of a Family Guy movie seemed a bad idea; what works for a 20 minute TV show won't nessessarily work as a feature length film. But because of the design of the movie, it's really like watching three episodes back to back. Focusing on young Stewie Griffin, the movie is about him seeing someone on TV that makes him think Peter isn't really his father and he goes in a journey to find the man he saw on TV. If you loved the show then this movie is for you.
Family Guy is hilarious, You have The Talking Sarcastic dog Brian, The fat dad Peter, his nagging wife Lois, The outcast freak that is hated by the whole family Meg, The fat wimpy kid Chris who has a crazy monkey trying to kill him, and the upper class English super genius psychopath baby Stewie who is hell bent on killing his mom Lois.
AND THIS IS THE MOVIE WHICH MAKES IT SOOOOO MUCH BETTER!!!
Feeakin' sweet. I am an avid fan of Family Guy and the full-length version is awesome. Originally designed as three tv episodes, they've been strung together with a bizarre storyline about Stewie's search for his 'real' father. Includes such moments as Quagmire explaining that country doesn't have an o...
