Zany, surreal, British comedy from back in the golden days of TV watching in the 1970s (it ran from 1970 to 1982)... The Goodies were a Brit trio: Tim Brooke-Taylor (the patriotic one), Graeme Garden (the brainy looking one) and Bill Oddie (the hairy one)... remember the Kitten toppling Big Ben (?); or hunting the haggis?... surreal Brit comedy for the whole family; nothing crude or coarse here... great stuff!

This is a great buy at 70 dollars and is an awsome collectors item if you are into this terribly funny and hilarious British series. Tim Bill and Graham are captured in this box set performing series 1 and 2 of The Goodies. The best episode is Kung Fu Kapers on disc one if you ask me. 5 out of 5.

This is a lot better than I expected. When I was a kid I loved this show and it is easy to see why, there are a lot of funny jokes that both kids and adults can enjoy, like when they set up a pirate radio station and only have one record, "A Walk in the Black Forest", which they play over and over. The film sequences are very well done, the Macbeth scene is one of the funniest things I have seen. The episodes vary a bit in quality, not surprising as they are drawn from different times in a very long running series.

Definately buy this over the 8 Episode release, of the other seperate release. Here you get a full 16 episodes of this classic comedy show that i watched as a kid. But not only that (and the choices of the episodes are some of the best episodes ever to be chosen for a best of set) the extras are fantastic, there are commentaries, featurettes, a booklet, and even Outtakes from all those years ago. Also the episodes look great is there full digitally composed greatness
