His separation hasn't been working out. His nephew's fiance has become a distraction. His paroled cousin is giving off bad vibes. His business rival is looking for payback. His therapist isn't buying into the "other Tony." It's enough to send any mob boss over the edge. Hell hath no fury like The Sopranos.

Seeing Tony Soprano sharing his fears and thoughts with his therapist (Lorraine Bracco) provides an interesting take on the who whole mafia thing (played for laughs in the films "Analyze This" and "Analyze That")... His nightmare in which he meets many of the departed again shows his humanity... a number of family members are released from prison in this series, which adds to the story...
James Gandolfini is superb... There is some dark humour, but the show is rough... the language is harsh and the violence can be shocking...
the sopranos is a pretty good show. it is based around an original concept and the idea of italian gans and mobs is played out in a non-cheesey and convincing way. if you are a fan of the series then i can recommend this boxset to you, it is pretty good. the television series will go on to be considered a classic.
When I first saw the ads for the commencement of The Soprano's, I thought it would be more of a boy-type series with violence etc, but surprisingly I thoroughly enjoyed it. Based on an Italian Mafia Group, Tony Soprano just makes it in this series. The music's good, and the acting is actually quite superb. Although, I would admit that I enjoyed the first few series better. Worth watching.
The Sopranos is starting to get a bit darker toward the end of this season but it still retains it’s perfect balance and delivery. Most shows by season 5 have dipped at least once, but The Sopranos manages to keep it up and going pretty well. This is definitely a series where I don’t want to miss a single episode.
everybody can pretty much agree on this being one of the most brilliant shows that has come out of the '00's. the orignality and great acting makes the show one to remeber, it'll surely go down as a classic. the scriptwriters never fail to come up with a genuinly great, original storyline for every episode and season. the show is great. its great to own on dvd too.
