Before seeing ‘The Dark Knight’, I was sceptical about the film after seeing how the Box Office had exploded over it. Often times, the largest fuss is made about films and you are only let down by going to watch them.
In this case, I can happily admit that I was wrong.
If you see this for no other reason, then simply watch it for Heath Ledger’s rendition of the Joker. He plays the role very darkly but it gives a haunting life to his character that is not easily forgotten. His morbid humour through out the film will leave some scratching their heads and others laughing themselves to death.
With much of the original cast, the film comes together beautifully.
Truly a must-see film of 2008.
Also, featurettes include deleted scenes and three scenes in the original IMAX!

'The Dark Knight', a film that would obviously get a large box-office taking. But I never expected the film to be so damn good. Ledger, Aaron Eckhart, Caine and Bale all were superb, as was returner Gary Oldman. But it was Ledger's Joker that made the film brilliant. The make-up all scraggy, matted hair, costuming all perfect for the final role. Both Ledger and Eckhart should get Oscar nominations for their portrayals of The Joker and Harvey 'Two-Face' Dent, respectively. I was sceptical about the rave reviews of Ledger's performance, but after seeing the film, I agree with the critics. The best performance of his career.
Christopher Nolan's 'Batman Begins' was brilliant. 'The Dark Knight' blew it out of the water. The soundtrack was also very good, by Hans Zimmer and James Newton Howard - another Oscar contender - best score. Absolutely brilliant.

Excellent movie. This was Heath Ledger's last major film and he was absolutely brilliant. I would highly recommend this movie to everyone except younger children as it's a little scary for them.
Overall, the best film I've seen recently.

Heath Ledger is fantastic as the Joker, but that's about all I can say for this edition in the Batman series!!! Ledger's brilliant performance salvages this long-winded drawn-out movie, "when is it going to end??"

An excellent movie. With all the hype surrounding the movie I thought it would definetly be a let down but I was completely wrong. Both Bales and Ledgers performances were excellent! A must see movie!

Another fine Batman movie here. Still the dark avenger gets little screen time but neither does the Joker and when you consider we'll not get Heath Ledger in the role again...it's out loss.
Batman is about one man pushed to the limits...the limits of his enduring spirit and code...a code that disallows him the luxury of killing his adversaries. Even when the love of his life get's blown all to hell, Batman knows he can't kill the Joker.
Thankfully we have Harvey Dent who becomes Two Face after a setup by the Joker.
A man not constrained by his ethics or morals but one who decides fate at the toss of a coin....making his own luck!!
And his own luck he does make...especially with his now scarred two headed coin.
Awesome special effects make Two Face look just like the comic books so all kudos to the makers of the movie.
Heath shines as the Joker. Even though we don't get the full story of how he has become the Joker we get a view in to the madness that lives with in. And what a fine madness that is. If only all supposedly insane criminals of today were like this....we'd all be dead so be thankful they're not!!
He carries off the mantle set up by Jack Nicholson and Caesar Romeros in a style befitting a real professional. He will be truly missed.
And Christian Bale...awesome job here of once again playing the caped crusader....and a fantastic job of displaying the emotions that beset the average joe.
All in all...a bloody good movie...some fabulous scenes...some classic cinematography.
