The follow-up to Batman Begins, The Dark Knight reunites director Christopher Nolan and star Christian Bale, who reprises the role of Batman/Bruce Wayne in his continuing war on crime. With the help of Lt. Jim Gordon and District Attorney Harvey Dent, Batman sets out to destroy organized crime in Gotham for good. The triumvirate proves effective, but soon find themselves prey to a rising criminal mastermind known as The Joker, who thrusts Gotham into anarchy and forces Batman closer to crossing the fine line between hero and vigilante. Admittedly I am a little biased being a Batman fan but this is the greatest film ever made! Not that I want to want to overhype it or anything :)
The whole time watching this movie you really don't think of Heath Ledger as Heath Ledger. He IS the Joker.
This is quite disturbing in places though so be careful with any kids watching it.

An absolutley fantastic, visually sunning movie! Starring Christian Bale and Heath Ledger this film has had plenty of publicity and rightly so! The plot line will keep you hooked through out and the fantastic yet disturbing performance by Ledger will give you chills! Not a family movie by any means but a great watch never the less!
