All eight episodes from the second series of the ITV costume drama following the lives and loves of those above and below stairs in a stately home at the outbreak of World War One. While Matthew (Dan Stevens) and Thomas (Rob James-Collier) are off fighting at the Somme, both Lord Grantham (Hugh Bonneville) and William (Thomas Howes) feel frustrated at being barred from taking part in the fighting. Meanwhile, Lady Sybil (Jessica Brown Findlay) defies her aristocratic position and enlists in the Royal Army Nursing Corps, while Lady Mary (Michelle Dockery) puts on a brave face when Matthew arrives home on leave with his future wife Lavinia Swire (Zoe Boyle) in tow.

Nearly all DVD players can be unlocked to play all region DVD's. Just search your model number on the internet and you'll be given the code. Usually just a series of numbers and/or buttons on your remote control. We've done this with all of our DVD players and can now play any region DVD. Have watched both series and really enjoyed them. So much easier to watch on DVD in your own time rather than keeping up with the TV schedule.
Catch up with all your favourite characters of Downton Abbey in the Second Series. This series is full of drama and suspense and will have you screaming with the characters, crying with them and smiling with them. In my opinion the second series is an inch better than the first and from beginning to end you will be stuck to the tv. There will be Romance, Hatred, Shock and Grief as tge series progresses. Definitely a must watch! If you enjoyed the first series, you are sure to love this one!
Love it. Love it. Love it. Good golly they got the mix right with this series. It improves on repeated viewing. To all inquiring about different regions, my understanding is that some DVD players do play other regions -definitely check your manual first. If it doesn't don't order region 2.
Love this series! I love the depth of the characters and the depth of reality portrayed that you really do believe they are in this era. It focuses on love, war, family and struggles that even in todays society you can relate. a wonderful series!
I am so excited to have finally received my copy of Downton Abbey series 2, it has arrived unwrapped though which I thought strange. I am looking forward to watching it with my family, such an entertaining series so far and with an excellent cast, some of my favourite acting regulars.
Awseome and brilliant. Regardless of what Genre your preference is, this is a must see. You wont be sorry i guarantee. It is worth the purchase and worth the time. Get to know the characters as all of them will enchant you. you soon will fall in love with this little beauty. Film is so hard to produce in good quality and this one is very rare.
