An old favourite from my childhood which still gave me that sense of joy and adventure when I watched it, this movie classic is soon to be remade so it will be interesting to see how it turns out.
I saw "Flight of the Navigation" quite some years ago and I thoroughly enjoyed every minute of it. Highly entertaining and would recommend this to younger viewers. A good all round movie, with lots of laughs and some sad moments.
Wouldn't mind seeing again at some stage.

A young boy's experience in an alien spaceship controlled by a type of robotic system takes him on a journey that would never be forgotten. This movie has a great innocence, intrigue and excitement and is a movie worth introducing to the kids and families. The acting and special effects are typically 80's cheesy but still convincing for its day...Reminds you of the silver bullet spaceship in Episode 1 of Star Wars.
A great addition to the roadshow re-release collection Forever Young, with Milo & Otis, the Silver Brumby and the Neverending Story, Flight of the Navigator is a truly original and classic family favourite. Easy to watch and enjoyable for the whole family to sit back and watch.
An essential addition to the collection for those who loved these fantastic movies of the 80s.
I recently had an urge to introduce this classic film to two young men that I babysit for. This film is one that formed my early interest in sci-fi and fantasy in an innocent way and do you what? I was so pleased to see it had excatly the same impact on my two wards, this weekend as it did on me all those many years ago. Good, innocent fun for all ages. Go on the kids will truly love it - and the fashion, hey we all did it!!!
I was introduced to this Classic by a Sci fit nut with high standards. Initially I thought it was dull but once you get past the woes of fashion past, its an entertaining and entrancing movie! The score is ahead of its time and once the plot establishes itself, renders the movie as one of the best science fiction plot, albiet for a childrens film.
I have a recorded copy of flight of the navigator off of the Disney channel from when I was 3 years old. Since '86 I've probably watched the movie a good thousand times, and it remains one of my favorite 'family-oriented' (i.e. Disney) movies of all time. In my opinion, live action Disney movies are few and far between, with Flight of The Navigator, The Rocketeer, and Iron Will being the top three. Flight of the Navigator is a fantastic movie for not only the original and creative plot, but the references to the era, not to mention one of the BEST spacecraft from a Science Fiction flick! Max is not only an incredible ship, but an awesome character. I still find it cool that the ship is it's own entity, not your typical big-eyed alien chariot. This movie is a good heart-warming family story, but also a really good movie to watch with friends (especially those who grew up in the 80s!).
well i absolutely loved this movie when i was a kid, i think it was the whole video games generation that made me like this but anyways its not a classic or anything like lost boys or breakfast club but it still passes the time, its a little corny at times did i say a little well its actually a lot of corn but still its an enjoyable corn and worth a look.
i think this movie actually has a pretty original and unique storyline although it won't exactly become a classic. this is a good movie to watch with friends and family on a quiet night in or just as a time filler. i quite enjoyed it, just don't expect anything too spectacular. Flight of the Navigator is pretty reasonable.
