A satisfying finale to an excellent series. These last three episodes chronicle the return of Foyle to the post of DCI at Hastings through to the end of World War II. The mental toll on those who have first hand experienced the war and those who are left behind are well explored in these riveting episodes.

The three main protagonists unravel the red herrings and at the same time, consider their futures after the War. Stiff upper lips and jolly goods all round.

This edition only holds three Discs, 1 for each episode I have read that other editions have four Discs, the fourth is of music for the series.

It's taken us a while to collect the whole set of Foyle's War (no matter where we found it for sale it was very expensive, and it's good to see that Fishpond's price for Series 6 is one of the better ones) but we have finally managed it. And we haven't been disappointed. As stated above, series six contains three episodes: Plan of Attack, Broken Souls and All Clear. I understand this was to be the last series but it is so hugely popular that the producers yielded to public demand and brought Foyle out of his well-earned retirement. I hope the series that follows this one continues the exceptional quality of Series 1 to 6.
