Reviews
–
These two films are not nearly as good as either "The Silence of the Lambs" or Michael Mann's earlier "Manhunter" (of which "Red Dragon" is a remake. "Hannibal" is largely unpleasant and Julianne Moore cannot hold a candle to Jodie Foster - who wisely wanted nothing to do with this film. "Red Dragon" is well made but a waste of a good cast. There was something artistically unique about the earlier two films; but these two are just formulaic product.
