There are certain flims which take storytelling to a new level and then there are Hollywood fat cats that try to milk every little cent out of it. This move is one of them. the first highlander is a classic, and thats where the story should have ended. This film does take the story further but I didn't like the idea that he got a second chance. Very bad.

After seeing the first highander movie I have to admit that I was hooked. This movie shone a whole new light on the sword fighting genre. The first movie was action packed and this sequel is no exception. These movies would probably have to represent the highlight of Christopher Lamberts acting career, and with Sean Connery also present you know you are in for a ride. Definately one to watch.

i really quite liked highlander two. the movie is pretty entertaing and i found myself to be pretty interest throughout the whole viewing, this to me is what makes a good movie. the movie was more entertaing then dull in scenes so if you are hard to please then see this film. its pretty good.

Thefirst highlander was one of my favourite movies, I love supernatural action movies and loved this. They did a good job in setting the story in the first one and this movie just continues the story. I liked Connery and lambert working together, and while the story is a little slow in a couple of places it is overall quite entertaining, more of the highlanders struggles to survive and keep the bad guys away. Some good fight scenes, I liked it.

This is my favourite of all the Highlander movies. However, the story line is skewed a bit and this bothers a lot of people. We are given the impression that the immortal species the Highlander belongs to are actually exiles from the planet Zeist. The motivation for the immortal species being on planet Earth is given here, along with reasons as to why there can be only one. The leaders of Zeist exile members of a failed rebellion with the condition that they will be immortal on Earth until there is only one (and this can happen only by chopping off the heads of the other immortals). Finally, when there is only one immortal left, they can choose to grow old and return to Zeist or die of old age.

Guess who's the only one left at the beginning of the movie? It's an old and weary Connor MacLeod. Meanwhile, Katana, operating from planet Zeist, sends two assasins to finish off MacLeod. They don't succeed and he gets their heads in the bargain, becoming immortal again and reviving Ramirez. Then follows the side plot that involves the thinning of the Ozone layer, MacLeod constructing a shield to protect it, and his eventual battle against Katana, but I'll let you figure that part of it out.

Sean Connery is highlight of this movie. His acting, and his lines are much better than the ones in the first one. In and of itself, I think it is the most complete Highlander movie made.

I have always been a huge fan of Highlander since I was knee high to a grasshopper, But this sequel is just so wrong in so many ways. This is the result of when they go to far to make more and more money. Well this one blew up in there face. The actors were great as they always are but there story lines left alot to be desired. Both Christopher Lambert and Sean Connery will not be putting this poster up in ther house nor will they bring it up in a conversation. Personally I dont blame there. A very poorly wriiten movie.

Why oh why do hollywood mostly butcher movies when they try to milk it for more? This was the biggest waste of not only my time,but yours aswell if you decide to watch it.plot?what plot?acting?who's acting?fx?com64 maybe?To go from something great as the original to this monstrosity is a joke.wait till you read the review on the others to follow.

"There can be only one" , well we could have only hoped. This film is just down right bad!!! The story, the action, the special effects and everything else. Now im being pretty fair as it was just a mess, but if you can catch the newly released special edition it is a big improvement and shows studios stuffed up another movie Still not as good as the first but a major improvement

I was and am a huge fan of the first movie Highlander. It was a brilliant movie with a fantastic story and was perfectly cast.
However this follow-up sequel to the first movie is quite a huge dissapoint. Two of the original cast members, the venerable Sean Connery and Christopher Lambert of the piercing eyes are back but even they can't make this movie any better than mediocre at best.
The storyline looks thrown together in a rush and simply ridiculous in places. The special effects are not very special at all and the action sequences are predictable. Altogether a very poor offering and only worth a look if you are a die-hard Highlander fan.
