Fantastic! This is a great way for older children to learn about history. As the name says, it is history with an emphasis on the horrible bits. The humourous and horrific presentation keep my boys (aged 9 to 14 years) coming back for more. If you have enjoyed the books in this series, then you will definitely enjoy the DVD - great value for money!
As the previous writer said, it's fantastic. All three of my kids watch
it (ages 9-15, boys and girls). They sing along to the songs, laugh at all
the stories. One great addition is the Songs section, where you can
select just the songs...including my personal favourite, the Four Georges
("I was the sad one, I was the mad one, I was the fat one..."). Definately
worth buying :-)
