If you've watched part 1 you need to see part 2. More fantastic performacnes by some of Britain's best and now most famous character actors in their youth, along side Derek Jacobi. Sejanus is played by he who went on to become a great Star Trek Captain, jean Luke Piccard, in the Next generation. Fascinating history of a stuttering,clubfooted boy, interested more in history and literature than power, who survived many years of deadly family politics to become the emporer Claudius, and a highly competent administrator of a complex empire.Worth owning not just renting.

This DVD contains the second half of the superb story of Claudius and his family's occupation of the highest office in ancient Rome. Derek Jacobi as Claudius really comes into his own here (he was more of a bit player in the first half) and he gets great support from John Hurt as well. Stagy, but superbly acted and plotted, this is one of the finest dramas British TV has ever produced.
