Ricky Gervais has said that if you think Karl Piklington is a genius then you're an idiot. He's not a genius but he's comedy gold. This series features Karl Pilkington out of his depth. He visits many countries, often dealing with harsh borderline 3rd world conditions. Steve and Ricky plan many surprises aimed to unsettle Karl. He comes across as xenophobic but it's harmless, he is just so confused and out of his depth. While many people marvel at such things as the Great Wall of China Karl offers the opinon that it's "the alright wall of China".
If you've seen the Karl Pilkington extras on Ricky Gervais' DVDs and find him funny you'd be an idiot to not check this show out.
